Twitter has worked for a 'sandless' sandbag company with owls now set to benefit from its amazing FloodSax.
For Owls About Town which takes owls into the community spotted a tweet from FloodSax and thought ‘owls about that for a great idea’ which could help the owls nest in the spring.
Andy Kendall from West Sussex-based Owls About Town sent an email to FloodSax saying: “Keeping an eye on things and retweeting your business as I think it is a fantastic product.
“I have been watching as I have floods on a regular basis. The aviaries where the troops (owls) live sometimes flood due to ditches not being cleaned locally. I'm off down to Travis Perkins to purchase a few to trail and go from there really. It will hopefully make a huge difference as breeding season comes along for some ground nesters.”
Owls About Town have owls ranging right up to eagle owls. They give people the chance to hold and be up close and personal with some of the most majestic creatures in the world.
It was formed to educate and inform people about these wonderful birds, increasing awareness and promoting their protection and conservation.
* Many homes and businesses now have a pack of FloodSax sandless sandbags so they are ready for any flooding emergency. They are space-saving to store but can be transformed into sandbags within minutes simply by adding water.
Around two million have now been sold worldwide.
